Having Fun and Building Character in Specials!

For many students Specials is their favorite part of the school day. Monaco Specials provide students with a healthy, well-rounded, and culturally aware education. We are lucky to have such an amazing Specials staff. They often go above and beyond to bring students educational experiences that spark the imagination and foster creativity.

Students love the excercise and movement opportunities they discover in Diana Preisser's PE class. Educational play that teaches community and team work is an everyday part of PE. Students learn exciting new games they can play at home or during recess as well as the rules and regulations of traditional sports like football, soccer, and basketball.

At Monaco Elementary, our students love to experience music! We sing, dance, and play instruments,  all while learning the basics of music. Ms. Kolber's goal is to give every student the tools to make music a part of their lives.

There's no question that computers are changing the world around us. To help prepare our children for a successful future, no matter what career they pursue, they need to learn basic computer programming skills.

-Governor John Hickenlooper

In technology class, Mr. Rappe’s goal is to give students the opportunity to learn basic computing skills that they will need for everyday life, but also to help them to understand how computers work, and to begin to build the foundation in programming skills.

Art Instructor Jesse Bott was awarded the Rookie Instructor of the Year Award for 2013! He brings self-expression and visual learning to the classroom through extensive hands-on opportunities.
